BURLINGTON, N.C., Sept. 24, 2024 — Trivantage, a one-stop shop for fabrics, hardware, and accessories, will demonstrate a new Seamstick Taper Tool that makes it easy to apply seam tape to zippers, webbing, and trim at the Custom Workroom Conference & Marketplace on Sept. 24 in Warwick, Rhode Island. Trivantage will also showcase a range of newly expanded product offerings specially for designers and workroom customers as well as highlight new benefits for Trivantage Plus™, the industry’s first customer membership program.
Designed by a fabricator, the Seamstick Taper Tool makes quick work of a seam tape application, providing placement on one or both edges with no bleed over. Demonstrations on the ease and convenience of using this ingenious tool will take place at CWC's Marketplace, and visitors will also be able to apply the tape. As users will experience firsthand at CWC, the tool helps speed up the application process.
“The workroom industry is influenced by design and decorating trends and product innovations,” said Susan Woodcock, co-owner and producer of CWC. “Workroom businesses need to stay updated and informed about the latest hardware and shade systems, fabrics, upholstery materials, tools, and techniques. The new Seamstick Taper Tool from Trivantage is an example of the type of product innovation we have come to expect in our industry. I look forward to seeing this and many other tools in action at our show.”
The Seamstick Taper Tool works by applying ¼” seam tape to the edges of many different sizes of zippers, webbing, and trim. To apply the tape, attach the quick-switch tool block to the application, insert the zipper or trim, and pull through the taper tool for effortless seam taping. The Seamstick Taper Tool comes with a #10 Tooth tool block, but other sizes are sold separately, including a #5 Zipper, #8 Tooth, #10 Coil, 1.5” Facing/Webbing, and 2.0” Facing/Webbing.
“As we'll demonstrate at CWC, fabricators can improve accuracy and save valuable production time with our new Seamstick Taper Tool, which was specially designed to ensure consistent, precise tape placement,” said Keith Purves, business development and training manager at Trivantage.
