Decorative Shade Collection

Within the Shade Collection is the new Sunbrella® Decorative Shade Collection, which includes three distinct lines, “Fundamental,” “Alloy” and “Unity” that strive to push the limits of shade design beyond the most traditional applications.

Fundamental, available in Charcoal, Sand and Walnut in 54-inch width, is a jacquard shade fabric, which combines classic and modern elements, perfect for upscale, highly decorative applications. The first fabric of its kind in the U.S., it utilizes a traditional Sunbrella fabric construction and a simple stripe concept resulting in a classic woven houndstooth pattern. Fundamental’s pattern is distinct close-up, yet subtle from a distance, making it ideal for fixed frame or retractable awnings and umbrellas.

Alloy builds on the increased interest in metallic and solid surface shade products, taking the edgy, technical look of those structures and elevating them with fabric construction that allows light and water to filter through the material. Available in 60-inch width in Silver, Vapor (a light pearlescent shade), Steel and Bronze, Alloy uses a combination of PVC and standard acrylic yarns for a stunning metallic sheen that has both a matted and shiny look. Alloy’s ability to look different with each application makes it perfect for fixed awnings, shade sails and roller shades. Since water can penetrate these fabrics, they are intended only for decorative shade design, not weather protection.

Unity includes up to 50-percent post-industrial recycled Sunbrella fiber mixed with virgin Sunbrella fiber and is available in Ashe, Granite, Char, Leaf and Garnet. It has a rich dimensional texture ideal for any decorative shade application.

Expanded Sunbrella Solids and Stripes

You’ll also find 16 new colors and patterns in the Sunbrella Shade Collection in 46-inch width, tapping into demand for nature-inspired tones with subtle textures in solids and a variety of stripes.

New solids include Hyacinth, Mix Redwood, Mix Emerald and Sea. The Silica solids have been expanded to include a solid grey, Silica Charcoal, and a light green, Silica Sage.

Traditional wide Stripes get a modern twist with muted earth tones and flecks of grey with the Era Collection: Era Mist (light green stripes on a white background), Era Cornsilk (gold stripes on a white background), Era Indigo (blue stripes on a cream background), Era Ash (grey stripes on a cream background).

Thin stripes include Preston Radiance and Preston Stone, brightly colored thin stripes grouped together and repeated on a grey background; Balance Tidepool and Balance Ember, tan and grey fabrics respectively with thin stripes repeated at wide intervals.

Providence Americana, a combination of grey, rust and gold thin stripes on a cream background, and Intrigue Neon, a black fabric with individual, pencil-thin, multi-colored stripes, round out the new thin striped fabrics.

These new Sunbrella fabrics make it easy to create beautiful, functional and unique shade and marine projects for your customers.
